Rainworks Affiliate Program Terms

Last updated: October 27, 2026

These terms cover the Rainworks Affiliate Program (the "Program"), run by Shenanigans LLC, doing business as Rainworks ("Rainworks," "we," "us"). By joining or taking part in the Program you agree to these terms.

1. What the Program is

Rainworks makes Invisible Spray, PopOut Stencils and bundles, sold at rain.works. Spray a design on dry concrete and it stays invisible until it rains, then it appears. As an affiliate you share Rainworks with your audience using your own link and code, and you earn a commission on the sales you send us.

2. Joining

  • You must be 18 or older and live in the United States.
  • Sign up at rain.works/affiliates. We may decline or remove anyone, without giving a reason.
  • Once you're in, you get a dashboard login, a tracked link, a personal discount code for your audience, and a one-time 10% code for your own first bundle.
  • One account per person or business. Accounts can't be transferred.

3. How you earn

  • Commission: 15% of the product subtotal of each Qualifying Order, after discounts. Shipping, taxes and gift cards are not included.
  • Qualifying Order: a retail order on rain.works placed within 30 days of a click on your link, or placed with your code, by someone other than you or your household, and not cancelled, refunded or charged back.
  • Your code works only on a customer's first Rainworks order, once per customer, including bundles. It gives them 10% off orders of $25 or more and doesn't combine with other discount codes.
  • Credit: the last link clicked wins. If a customer uses an affiliate's code, that affiliate gets the credit, whichever link they clicked.
  • No commission on: custom stencils and design time; gift cards; wholesale orders; orders Rainworks invoices directly (schools, cities, businesses, nonprofits); orders on TikTok Shop, Amazon or other marketplaces; and your own orders.
  • We may change the rate or discount with 14 days' notice by email. Changes apply only to orders placed after the change takes effect.

4. Getting paid

  • A commission is approved 30 days after the order date.
  • We pay approved commissions once a month, on or about the 15th, by PayPal to the address in your dashboard.
  • The minimum payout is $25. Smaller balances roll into the next month.
  • Before your first payout we'll ask for a Form W-9. If we pay you $2,000 or more in a calendar year (the threshold for 2026 payments), we'll send you a Form 1099-NEC. You're responsible for taxes on your earnings.
  • If an order is refunded after we've paid you for it, we subtract that commission from your next payout. We may hold or reverse commissions on orders that look fraudulent or break these terms.

5. Disclosing that you earn a commission

Every post, video, story, email or page that carries your link or code must say clearly that you earn from it, for example "#ad", "Ad:", "paid link" next to the link, or "I earn a commission if you buy through my link." In videos, show it on screen and say it out loud. "Affiliate link" alone, "#ambassador", or a mention only in your bio isn't enough. This is required by the Federal Trade Commission. On TikTok, also switch on the commercial content disclosure setting.

6. What you can say about Rainworks

  • Say: Rainworks is a temporary installation that lasts 2–4 months. Show what it really does: dry sidewalk, add water, the art appears.
  • Fine to say: non-toxic, eco-friendly, PFAS free, biodegradable, safe for kids and pets.
  • Never say: that the spray, a rainwork or an installation is permanent. Don't call the paint option permanent either; say "always-visible painted message."
  • Don't make claims about price, shipping or stock that differ from rain.works, and don't promise results.
  • Apply Rainworks only where you have permission: your own property, a friend's driveway, or a public space where it's allowed. Don't suggest using it for tagging or on property without permission.

7. What's not allowed

  • Paid search on our name: no ads on Google, Bing, Amazon or any search engine that bid on "Rainworks," "rain.works," "Invisible Spray," "proudtoberainy" or misspellings, and no use of those words in an ad's display address.
  • Posting your code on coupon, deal or cashback sites, or in browser extensions.
  • Buying through your own link or code, or asking friends to do it so you earn.
  • Spam, pop-ups, cookie stuffing, bots, or anything else that fakes a referral.
  • Presenting yourself as Rainworks, or using our name in a domain or social handle.
  • Content that is hateful, sexual, dangerous, or aimed mainly at children under 13. If children appear on camera, hands and feet only is safest.
  • Paying for, or asking for, product reviews.

8. Your content and our ad rights

  • You keep the rights to what you make.
  • When you tag Rainworks or post with your link or code, you give Rainworks a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reshare that post on our social accounts and website, with credit to you.
  • Partnership ads: you agree to give Rainworks partnership-ad access (Meta's "partnership ads" on Instagram and Facebook) for your Rainworks posts when we ask, and Rainworks may run them as paid ads for 90 days from the day you approve access. We pay for the ads; your commission still applies to the sales they bring through your link or code.
  • Ask us any time to take down a specific piece and we'll remove it from anything we control within 7 days, including stopping any partnership ad.

9. Our brand

We give you a limited, revocable license to use the Rainworks name, logo and the product photos we provide, only to promote Rainworks under these terms. Rainworks® is a registered trademark.

10. Ending things

  • You can leave any time by emailing contact@rain.works. We'll pay approved commissions of $25 or more on the next payout date.
  • We can pause or end your participation any time. If we end it because you broke these terms, unpaid commissions may be forfeited. Otherwise we pay what's approved.
  • We may close the Program with 30 days' notice.

11. The legal part

  • You're an independent contractor, not an employee, agent or partner of Rainworks, and you can't make commitments for us.
  • The Program and its materials are provided "as is." Rainworks isn't liable for indirect losses, or for more than the commissions owed to you in the prior 12 months.
  • You'll cover Rainworks for claims that come from your content, your promotions or your breaking these terms.
  • We handle affiliate and customer data under the Rainworks Privacy Policy. Don't collect customer data through the Program beyond what your dashboard shows.
  • Washington State law governs these terms, with disputes in King County, Washington. If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • We may update these terms by email notice; continuing in the Program after notice means you accept the update.

12. Questions

Email contact@rain.works. We're a small team, so give us a day or two.
