What makes Invisible Spray special?
Our formula has been developed through rigorous testing, and specifically designed for the purpose of making rainworks. So what's that mean?
Invisible Spray can't be seen on dry concrete, and it doesn't change the texture of the concrete at all. Perfect for creating hidden art & messages!
Totally invisible when surface is dry
Invisible Spray is the only superhydrophobic coating that we have tested that is completely undetectable on a sunny day. You can't see, feel, or smell a difference.
Eco-Friendly & Biodegradable
Once a rainwork is dry, it is completely non-toxic!
Invisible Spray is removable! Rainworks can be erased using any standard eco-friendly cleaning product, and a wire brush.
Rainworks do not damage the surface they are on, and they can be easily removed using any earth-friendly cleaning product and a little bit of scrubbing.
Rainworks generally last 2-4 months (though we have seen them last as long as a year under the right conditions). They are most vivid for the first few weeks, and they gradually grow more subtle over time.
This hopscotch rainwork was made using approximately one 2oz bottle of Invisible Spray.
Our spray utilizes nano-technology, which means it only takes a tiny bit of Invisible Spray to create a rainwork.
The included 2oz bottle of Invisible Spray covers 10-15 square feet with the recommended 2 coats of coverage. (We recommend using 2 coats because it makes the rainworks last much longer and look much better. Learn more on our tutorial page.)

Some surfaces work better than other for making rainworks... Check out our tutorial page to learn which surfaces work best!
The Right Surfaces
Invisible Spray will repel water from absorbent surfaces including concrete, wood, stone, cardboard, fabric, etc,. When making rainworks, the image is visible due to the contrast between the dry surface and the wet surface.
If you're curious about whether Rainworks Invisible Spray will work on a specific surface, simply test the surface by pouring some water onto it. If the surface changes color when it gets wet, you can make a Rainwork there. The higher the contrast, the better your rainwork will look.
Invisible Spray will not work on non-absorbent surfaces such as glass, plastic, metal, and sealed wood.
To learn more about which surfaces will work well and which won't, check out our official tutorial page and click on 'Finding A Location'.
The official map includes the locations of rainworks around the world. Anybody can create a rainwork and add it to the map!
Anybody who makes a rainwork can add their creation to the official map, so rainy-day explorers nearby can go out and find them! We want to help turn the world into a big rainy-day scavenger hunt.
We believe in being open and up-front about the personal and environmental safety of our product. The spray is a solvent-based formula. Because of the solvent, it is not safe to drink the liquid or inhale the vapor. If the spray gets on your hands, just wash it off. If it is on your hands for too long the most it can do is cause mild skin dryness/irritation. If it gets in your eyes you rinse them thoroughly with water.
Once the Invisible Spray is sprayed on the ground, the solvent evaporates, leaving only the biodegradable water-repelling ingredients locked to the surface, making it superhydrophobic, creating the rainwork!
Rainworks, wet or dry, do not make the ground more slippery. There is no change in the texture of the surface whatsoever.
At Rainworks, we want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase. Our sincere goal is to provide an enjoyable experience that encourages you to produce amazing art and continue a relationship with us for years to come. On the rare occasion you receive a product that you just don't like or that you no longer want, feel free to return the product within our return guidelines.
